SEMIAC

Ben is currently pursuing his MSE in Robotics engineering after over 7 years working in the Automotive Industry. He lives in the Detroit area, and spends much of his time working towards completion of his Master’s Thesis. He enjoys spending time with his church community and family. Ben has led SEMIAC since 2023, and hopes to expand SEMIAC’s reach in the Detroit region.

Daniel graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2018 with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering. He currently works as Quality Lead for Patent Classification at Clarivate.

Aaron graduated from UM-Dearborn in 2022.  He works as an automotive wiring systems design engineer for Yazaki North America.

Bayaan recently graduated with her MS in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University. She is currently transitioning into a Transportation Engineering position at Cincar Consulting Group. Bayaan enjoys gardening, taking walks, and gaming.

Alex is a ME graduate from WSU. He is currently in a rotational program as an engineer supporting R&O Aftermarket Repair at Williams International in Pontiac. He enjoys many outdoor activities in his free time like biking, skiing, and enjoying the lakes up north. He also enjoys tabletop, card, and video games.

Chapter advisor, District Director, and former MI Iota Chapter President Michael Ustes was recognized as a Tau Beta Pi Laureate in 2021 for his diverse achievements.

Julia recently graduated from UM-Dearborn and works as an Automation Engineer at Adient, an automotive seat supplier. She enjoys spending time outside, reading, and trying out new recipes.

Aella lives in Detroit with her partner, her best friend, and an orange cat. Outside SEMIAC, she enjoys going out, learning, and building community relationships. She works as a controls engineer at Taikisha USA Inc.
